Police lay charges - Death - East Arnhem Region

Northern Territory Police have charged a further four people over their alleged involvement in an incident in Yirrkala on Wednesday in which a 16-year-old male died and three other males were taken to hospital with stab wounds.

These charges relate to the three injured men.

A 21-year-old male and a 22-year-old male have been charged with recklessly endanger life. They've been remanded in custody to appear before Darwin Local Court on Wednesday, 5 May 2021.

A 35-year-old male has been charged with aggravated assault and given police bail to appear in Nhulunbuy Local Court on Tuesday, 8 June 2021.

A 17-year-old youth has been charged with reckless endanger serious harm and given police bail to appear in Nhulunbuy Local Court on Thursday, 10 June 2021.

A 49-year-old male was charged with one count of murder on Saturday. He is scheduled to appear before the Darwin Local Court on Tuesday, 4 May 2021.
