The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 45‑year‑old male in relation to domestic violence offences in Livingstone.
On Wednesday 4 February 2026, police received reports that an incident had occurred at a residence, where a male had allegedly threatened his female partner with the use of a firearm.
General duties attended and referred the matter to the Northern Domestic Violence Investigation Unit, and an investigation was undertaken.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
On Monday 9 February, a planned arrest operation was executed at the rural address, and the 45-year-old male was taken into custody without incident.
Multiple items were seized from the property including a firearm and ammunition.
The 45-year-old offender has since been charged with multiple offences including, Make threats to kill a person, Possess use or carry a prohibited weapon, possess ammunition without a permit or licence and Possess/use firearm whilst unlicensed.
He will face Darwin Local Court on 10 February 2026.
Detective Senior Sergeant Caragh Hen said, "Domestic violence takes many forms, not only physical violence. This type of behaviour is unacceptable.
"Police will continue to take action to protect victims and hold offenders to account."
