Police lay charges - Drug and traffic offences - Daly River

Northern Territory Police have issued a Notice to Appear to a 27-year-old male in relation to drug and traffic offences which occurred on Friday 18 October, 2019.

Police were conducting Traffic Operations along Daly River Road when they discovered approximately 751 grams of cannabis and 2 litres of rum during the search of a vehicle.

The driver admitted to being the owner of the drugs and alcohol.

He was issued with a Notice to Appear in court for:

  • Possess commercial quantity Schedule 2 dangerous drug
  • Supply commercial quantity Schedule 2 dangerous drug
  • Possess alcohol in alcohol protected area
  • Drive unregistered / uninsured motor vehicle

Anyone with information on the supply and possession of illicit substances can notify police on 131 444 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
