Detectives from Major Crash Investigation Unit have charged a 36-year-old man following the fatal crash that occurred on the Victoria Highway on Wednesday 4 March 2020.
The man was airlifted to Royal Darwin Hospital where he is being treated for injuries suffered in the crash. This afternoon, he was arrested in hospital and charged with:
- driving causing death
- driving under the influence
- driving without due care
- driving unlicensed
- driving an unregistered / uninsured motor vehicle
- exceeding the speed limit (16-30km/h).
He was remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Local Court on Friday 13 March 2020.
