Police lay charges over fatal crash outside school at Ulladulla

A bus driver has been charged following a fatal pedestrian crash at Ulladulla earlier this year.

Shortly after 3pm on Wednesday 1 July 2020, emergency services were called to South Street, Ulladulla, following reports a child had been hit by a bus outside a school.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the girl died at the scene. She was formally identified as a 14-year-old student of the school.

Officers from South Coast Police District attended and commenced inquiries.

Following inquiries, a 61-year-old man was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice yesterday (Wednesday 23 December 2020), for the offences of negligent driving occasioning death, and not stop at stop line.

He is due to appear in Milton Local Court on Thursday 15 April 2021.
