Police lay charges over property offences in Darwin 9 May

Northern Territory Police have charged a 16-year-old male with multiple property offences over the weekend.

On Saturday at about 12:30am, the alleged offender entered a unit in Wanguri and stole a vehicle.

Later during the night, the male entered a unit within a complex at Tiwi.

Strike Force Trident detectives took carriage of the investigation and arrested the male at a residence in Wanguri yesterday, where he was found in possession of stolen property from an unlawful entry in Milner the night prior.

He has since been charged with:

  • Aggravated burglary - Dwelling x 3
  • Theft x 3
  • Drive motor vehicle without consent
  • Unlawfully possess property
  • Drive a motor vehicle while unlicensed
  • Serious breach of bail

He was remanded to appear in court on 12 May 2023.
