Police lay charges - Serious Harm in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to a serious harm incident that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.

At around 7:20am, an 18-year-old allegedly assaulted a 28-year-old man with an edged weapon at a shopping centre loading bay along Bath Street.

Police arrested the alleged offender shortly after the incident. Paramedics transported the victim to Alice Springs Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The offender has since been charged with:

  • Recklessly endanger serious harm
  • Possess controlled weapon

He was remanded to appear before Alice Springs Local Court today.
