Police lay charges - Serious Harm - Moil

Northern Territory Police have charged a 31-year-old man following an incident in Moil over the weekend.

Police were called to the disturbances on Friday night following reports a man being assaulted with an edged weapon.

A 31-year-old man, a known relative to the victim, has since been charged with:

  • Possess/carry/use control weapon - night
  • Unlawfully cause serious harm

He was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court on 28 January 2022.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Jon Beer said, "Anyone who was in the area of Linde Street on Friday night, between the hours of 8pm and 9pm, is urged to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference number 9906668."
