A 24-year-old male has been arrested and charged following an assault that occurred in Palmerston on Wednesday 22 July.
Around 3:30pm a male is alleged to have physically assaulted another male in the car park of a shopping centre on Temple Terrace.
The matter was later reported to Police through the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre.
The offender, who is not known to the victim, fled the scene after the assault and the victim received Hospital treatment for facial fractures.
Following investigations, the 24-year-old was located and arrested by Police yesterday.
He has since been charged with Unlawfully Cause Serious Harm and will appear in court on Monday 27 July 2026.
