Police Lay Charges - Sexual Intercourse Without Consent In Alice Springs

The Northern Territory Police Force has charged a man with historical sexual offences in Alice Springs.

Detectives from the Crime Command will allege that in October 2021, a 44-year-old man indecently assaulted a woman who was known to him at a residence in Alice Springs.

It will also be alleged that in January 2024, the man sexually assaulted another woman who was known to him at a separate residence in Alice Springs.

Police were made aware of the allegations in February 2024 and commenced investigations.

The 44-year-old was arrested this morning and has since been charged with:

  • 1 x Sexual Intercourse Without Consent
  • 2 x Act of Gross Indecency

He was remanded to appear in Alice Springs Local Court this morning.
