Police lay murder charge at Browns Plains

Logan detectives have tonight charged a 20-year-old Marsden man with murder following the death of a man at Browns Plains yesterday.

Around 3pm on September 17, police and emergency services were called to Wembley Road following reports of an alleged hit and run incident.

Police will allege the victim, a 25-year-old Browns Plains man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene after being allegedly struck by a car driven at high speed by the 20-year-old man.

The 20-year-old man was denied police bail and will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday (20 September).
