Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man following the death of a woman at Slacks Creek in the early hours of this morning, 12 August.
Just before 12.30am, emergency services were called to a Rowanda Street property following reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, it will be alleged that officers located an unresponsive woman.
Emergency services performed CPR on the woman; however, at around 1am, the 27-year-old Woody Point woman was declared deceased at the scene.
Police will allege the man and woman were known to each other.
Following investigations detectives have charged a 37-year-old Slacks Creek man with one count each of murder (domestic violence offence) and contravention of a domestic violence order.
He has been refused police bail and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, 13 August.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death continue.
Detectives continue to appeal to anyone with relevant information that may assist the investigation to come forward.
