Police make arrest after Brompton break-in, South Australia

One man has been arrested and police are looking for a second man after a break-in at Brompton overnight.

A concerned neighbour alerted police after seeing people entering a property on Pickering Street, Brompton about 2.20am on Friday 27 December.

Police arrived within minutes with Police Dog Axe. The intruders could be heard inside the house, before they ran out the back, leaving property stolen from the house behind.

Patrols had quickly cordoned off the area and one of the suspects ran into the waiting arms of police.

The 23-year-old man from Brompton was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

The second suspect got away and inquiries are continuing to identify and locate him.

The occupants weren't home at the time and the stolen property was recovered.
