Police make arrest after indecent assault, South Australia

A man has been arrested after indecently assaulting an elderly woman in her home yesterday.

Police will allege that about midnight on Sunday 23 February, an elderly woman residing in Bowden heard a knock at her door when she approached the door a man pushed his way into her home.

The man indecently assaulted the elderly victim before leaving the premises on foot.

The victim was not physically injured but obviously shaken by this incident. She provided police with a detailed description of the suspect.

Following an investigation, just after 2am on the same day, police located the suspect at his home address in Bowden where he was arrested.

A 23-year-old man was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated indecent assault and resist arrest. He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 24 February.
