Police make arrest after woman stabbed at Elizabeth Park, South Australia

Police are investigating an aggravated assault at Elizabeth Park this afternoon.

Just before 1pm on Sunday 1 December, police and emergency services were called to Innes Street after reports that a woman had been stabbed in the shoulder.

The victim, a 38-year-old Elizabeth Park woman was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury to her shoulder.

Police attended a nearby home and arrested a 53-year-old Elizabeth Park man. He is expected to be charged later today.

The incident was not random and all parties are known to each other.
