Police make arrest - Aggravated assault at Tennant Creek

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 28-year-old female following an alleged aggravated assault in Tennant Creek overnight.

At about 10:40pm, police responded to a report that a 48-year-old man had been stabbed. Upon arrival, police located the 48-year-old victim with stab wounds.

The victim was conveyed to Tennant Creek Hospital and subsequently transported to Alice Springs Hospital with serious injuries requiring surgery.

The 28-year-old female was arrested and conveyed to the Tennant Creek Watch House. She has been charged with unlawfully causing serious harm.
