Police make arrest - Aggravated robbery - Ludmilla 21 October

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 17-year-old youth in relation to an aggravated robbery in Ludmilla yesterday.

Shortly after 2:30am, a taxi had dropped off a group of people at a residence in Ludmilla when the 17-year-old has jumped in the front seat of the taxi and requested to be driven somewhere.

The taxi driver has declined his request before being threatened with an edged weapon. The offender has allegedly demanded the driver hand over his belongings before fleeing on foot with the stolen property.

Strike Force Trident and Dog Operations Unit located the youth later that afternoon still in the possession of the victim's property.

The youth was charged with going armed in public and aggravated robbery. He was remanded to appear in court today.
