Police make arrest - Aggravated robberyin Darwin City

Northern Territory Police are investigating an alleged aggravated robbery following the arrest of two men in Palmerston yesterday.

It is alleged at around 2:30am on 1 April 2022, a 32-year-old man left a licensed premises on Mitchell Street after an altercation occurred inside. The alleged offenders followed the man outside where they continued to engage with him while walking up Mitchell Street before they assaulted him and stole personal items.

The victim reported the matter to police later that day. Detectives conducted further enquiries into the incident before the two men surrendered themselves to police.

Both men have been charged with aggravated robbery and bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 21 April 2022.

Serious Crime Squad detectives are continuing their investigation.
