The NT Police Force has arrested a 15-year-old male in relation to an assault that occurred at a school in Tennant Creek earlier today.
Around 12:05pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a staff member at a high school on Stuart Street had been assaulted by a student.
It is alleged the 15-year-old male student had physically assaulted an adult female staff member, before leaving the school grounds.
Police attended and conveyed the victim to hospital for assessment. Shortly after 3pm, the offender was arrested at a residence in Ambrose Street.
He remains in police custody with charges expected to follow.
