A 23-year-old male has been arrested after two police officers were allegedly assaulted in Alice Springs.
Around 8:30am today, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received report of a mental health incident and upon arrival at an address in Alice Springs they arrested a male found to be in breach of a DVO.
During the arrest, the male allegedly assaulted two officers before being taken to the Watch House.
The officers were treated at Alice Springs Hospital for injuries and have been discharged.
Investigations are ongoing.
