The Major Crime Unit has arrested a 19-year-old man in relation to a death in Jingili overnight.
Around 9pm, police received reports that a 19-year-old employee had been assaulted with a knife at a bottle shop on McMillians Road, Jingili. The offender fled the scene in a vehicle.
NT Police and St John Ambulance attended and the victim was declared deceased upon arrival.
The offender was arrested earlier this morning.
He remains in police custody and is expected to be charged later today.
