Police make arrest - Drugs in Alice Springs

A man found in possession of commercial quantity of methamphetamine with a street value of more than $100,000 was arrested south of Alice Springs yesterday.

Detectives from the Southern Drugs Investigation Unit conducted a roadside traffic stop and search of the vehicle during which it is alleged a commercial quantity of methamphetamine (141.9grams) and cannabis (725.5grams) were located in the vehicle.

The man was charged with one count of Supply Schedule 1 Dangerous Drug - commercial quantity and one count of Supply Schedule 2 Dangerous Drug - commercial quantity, and is scheduled to appear before court today.
