Police Make Arrest - Escape Custody In Alice Springs 1 November

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 17-year-old male who escaped NT Corrections custody at Alice Springs Airport on Thursday.

The male was located at an outstation near Docker River this morning following an extensive police operation involving members from Yulara, Mutitjulu and Kulgera.

A vehicle allegedly stolen from Alice Springs yesterday has also been recovered.

The 17-year-old is currently being conveyed to the Alice Springs Watch House.

Police launched a large-scale search after the male escaped custody at Alice Springs Airport last week while waiting to board a flight.

Northern Territory Police acknowledge the excellent coordinated response from members across the southern region over the past 24 hours, which resulted in the teenager being safely located and returned to custody.
