Northern Territory Police have arrested a 27-year-old man after a hit and run in Minyerri overnight.
Around 12am, police received reports that a vehicle in the community had struck two young girls aged 2 and 12. The 2-year-old suffered a laceration to her head while the 12-year-old suffered pelvic and non-life threatening internal injuries.
Both were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with a member of family for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot before handing himself into police a short time later.
He remains in custody with charges expected later today.
