Northern Territory Police are currently investigating an incident that occurred in Moulden last night.
At 9:10pm, a 29-year-old male driving a white commodore sedan along Kafcaloudes Crescent struck a 45-year-old female, who is believed to be known to him, and then fled the scene.
St John Ambulance attended and conveyed the female to Royal Darwin Hospital in a serious condition.
A short time later the man handed himself in to police and is expected to be charged later today.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed this incident, or has CCTV or dash-cam footage, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10292879.
