Police make arrest - Motor vehicle crash - Marrara

Northern Territory Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle crashed in Marrara overnight.

At around 2am, police observed a vehicle driving erratically along Lee Point Road. Police commenced a pursuit, however after less than 30 seconds, the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and crashed at the intersection of Lee Point Road and McMillians Road.

Six female youths inside the vehicle were transported to Royal Darwin Hospital for assessment and have since been discharged.

A 15-year-old female is expected to be summonsed at a later date for aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The remaining five youths, aged between 10 and 15, will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, "Investigations into this incident are ongoing.

"It's incredibly lucky no one was seriously injured or killed."
