Police make arrest - Robbery in Alice Springs 23 January

Northern Territory Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in relation to property offences in Alice Springs earlier this month.

On two separate occasions, the alleged offender unlawfully entered two premises in East Side and Braitling.

Strike Force Viper members arrested the man on Saturday and continue to investigate the matter to locate a second offender who remains unidentified.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Rob Kent said "The alleged offender was identified through the Fingerprints Unit which resulted in the successful apprehension of the man."

The man was taken to Alice Springs Watch House and since been charged with:

  • Aggravated unlawful entry x 2
  • Damage to property x 2
  • Stealing x 2
  • Aggravated robbery
  • Aggravated assault

He was remanded in custody and will face court on 23 January 2023.
