Police make arrests after Lake Wendouree aggravated burglary

Two people have been arrested in relation to an alleged aggravated burglary in Lake Wendouree this morning.

It's alleged a number of people have entered the Stafford Court address about 8am while the occupants slept.

The offenders stole car keys for two vehicles from the house before fleeing in the stolen cars.

The two Mercedes Benz were observed being driven in the Ballarat area a short time later.

One vehicle eventually came to a stop on Spencer Street in Canadian about 10am and both male occupants were arrested.

The other vehicle was located dumped in Larter Street in Ballarat East and the driver of that car is yet to be located at this stage.

A 15-year-old Ballarat East boy and a 19-year-old Wendouree man have been charged with numerous offences including aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and driving related offences.

They are expected to be remanded to appear in court at a later date.
