Police make arrests after Sunbury shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have arrested two people in relation to a non-fatal shooting in Sunbury last week.

The arrests follow the shooting of a 57-year-old Sunshine man as he got out of his vehicle in the driveway of a property on Belleview Drive about 1am on Saturday, 8 February.

A 39-year-old Kangaroo Flat man was arrested in Finn Street White Hills near Bendigo and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Detectives also arrested a 30-year-old Long Gully woman yesterday in relation to the incident.

The woman has been charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally and recklessly cause serious injury, conduct endangering life and prohibited person possess and use firearm.

She will appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court this afternoon.

Detectives also located the 4WD which had been seen in the area prior to the shooting and it will now undergo forensic testing.
