Police Make Arrests - Aggravated Robbery - Karama 1 June

Casuarina General Duties and Strike Force Trident have arrested two males in relation to an aggravated robbery in Karama overnight.

Around 12:25am the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a 61-year-old male had been allegedly assaulted.

It is alleged that a group of offenders, travelling in a black camry, followed the victim home from a service station in Malak.

As the victim exited his car, two offenders with their faces covered approached and threatened him with edged weapons.

The 61-year-old returned to his vehicle where he was allegedly assaulted with one of the weapons, his vehicle was damaged and several items were stolen. The victim suffered an injury to his hand which did not require medical treatment.

Casuarina GDs and SF Trident members responded and at 4:05am located and seized the offenders' vehicle.

A 28-year-old male and 48-year-old male were arrested and charges are expected later today.
