Police Make Arrests - Crime Series - Palmerston

Strike Force Trident has arrested five youths following a stolen motor vehicle crime series in Palmerston.

Three vehicles were reported stolen from Palmerston residential addresses in the early hours of Monday morning.

These included a white Toyota Hilux reported stolen from Sibbald Crescent, Woodroffe at around 12:15am, a white Toyota Hilux reported stolen from Terry Drive, Gunn about 25 minutes later and a red Toyota Landcruiser reported stolen at around 1:40am from Stanford Way, Durack.

Police initiated separate pursuits of the first Hilux and the Landcruiser. They were both observed initially travelling south in convoy to Acacia Hills before returning to Palmerston.

Both vehicles were eventually abandoned near Elizabeth River bridge, and Davoren Circuit, respectively, and offenders fled from the scene.

Two 17-year-old males and a 14-year-old male from the first Hilux were arrested.

Two passengers from the Landcruiser, a 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old male were also arrested. The driver remains outstanding.

The white Toyota Hilux stolen from an address in Gunn remains outstanding.
