Police make arrests - Property offences in Alice Springs 8 December

Four youths have been apprehended and charged in relation to property offences in the Alice Springs CBD earlier this week.

It is alleged a group of youths forced entry and rummaged through a business in the Todd Mall just after 3:30am on Tuesday 7 December.

The group fled the scene on police arrival, with officers apprehending a 12-year-old male following a foot pursuit. He will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Further inquiries by members of Strike Force Viper identified three 14-year-old males, who were located and arrested in relation to the unlawful entry.

Two youths will appear before court charged with one count of Aggravated Unlawful entry, while a third youth was charged with two counts of Aggravated Unlawful entry and one count of Obtain benefit by deception, following two separate incidents earlier that evening.
