Police make arrests - Robbery in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested four youths in relation to a robbery at a business in Parap overnight.

At around 10:15pm, seven youths entered a service station on the Stuart Highway and attempted to steal items before allegedly assaulting an employee and fleeing the scene.

A short time later, five of the youths returned to the business with one youth allegedly threatening the employee with an edged weapon before all five fled the scene.

Strike Force Trident detectives arrested four females this morning, aged between 12 and 14. They are expected to be charged later today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, "This behaviour is completely unacceptable and we are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10022129."
