Police make drug arrest - Alice Springs

A man will face local court on drug charges after police found a significant amount of cash and drugs inside a Larapinta home yesterday afternoon.

Southern Drug Investigation Unit, Southern Dog Operations, Strike Force Viper and general duties officers carried out a search warrant where it is alleged they located 1.188kg of cannabis, seven cannabis plants and more than $95,000 in Australian currency.

A 44-year-old man was arrested and taken to the Alice Springs Watch House where he was charged with;

  • Possess Commercial Schedule 2 Drug
  • Supply Commercial Schedule 2 Drug
  • Possess Traffickable Schedule 2 Drug
  • Cultivate Cannabis
  • Possess Tainted property.

He will appear in court on 18 March 2022.
