A Police Officer from Geraldton has been charged with murder in relation to the death of Ms Clarke in September 2019.
Ms Clarke was fatally shot on Tuesday 17 September 2019 in the Geraldton suburb of Karloo.
Ms Clarke's death prompted an investigation that was conducted by the Major Crime Division, and that investigation resulted in today's charge.
"This matter will have a profound impact upon Ms Clarke's family, the officer, his family and colleagues," Commissioner Chris Dawson said. "Support services have been offered to all.
"Senior officers have been working closely with community leaders and with officers across the State throughout today, and will continue to do so."
The officer has appeared in the WA Supreme Court today, Thursday 20 February 2020.
