A 29 year old female police officer from the south of the state has been charged with two counts of common assault.
The offences are alleged to have occurred in Hobart on 14 January 2019 in relation to the detention of a minor.
The officer has been assigned to non-operational duties and has been summonsed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
