Police probe after building fire in Parramatta

Police are investigating the cause of a fire at an abandoned building in Parramatta early this morning, NSW Police say.

About 3.40am today (Saturday 17 February 2018), emergency services were called to Aird Street following reports that a building was on fire.

Multiple units from Fire & Rescue NSW attended to extinguish the blaze amongst debris inside the premises.

The multilevel building that is empty, but frequented by squatters, was also damaged by fire late last month.

Police from Parramatta Local Area Command attended and commenced their inquiries into the cause of the blaze.

Investigations are continuing and police have urged anyone with information about the fires to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
