Police probe after firearms stolen in Oberon

An investigation has commenced following the theft of a number of firearms from a property in Oberon last month, NSW Police say.

Between 10am on Tuesday 18 September and 9am on Monday 29 October 2018, six firearms were stolen from a property on Murrays lane, Oberon.

The firearms were stored in a safe in a machinery shed and were last seen on Tuesday 18 Septemebr2018.

A description of the stolen goods as follows:

  • .22/250 rifle Longreach
  • 12-gauge shotgun BNP single barrel
  • .22 Anschutz 1400 rifle
  • .22 Lithgow/slazenger12 rifle
  • .222 rem Sportco 33V rifle
  • · .22 magnum Stirling rifle

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation should contact police at Oberon Police Station or the Rural Crime Investigator at Bathurst Police Station on (02) 6332 8699.
