Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in Parramatta last night, NSW Police say.
About 11.15pm (Friday 2 March 2018), emergency services were called to a licenced premise on Victoria Road, after reports a man had been assaulted.
Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command attended and found a 28-year-old man unconscious on the footpath.
Police were told the man had been hit in the head by an unknown person.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene for injuries to his head, before taking him to Westmead Hospital. The man is currently in a serious condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
