Police probe after man dies and other man critical in Engadine

Police are investigating after one man was found dead and another unconscious in Engadine this afternoon., NSW Police say

About 3.45pm (Tuesday 23 October 2018), emergency services were called to Collins Place, Engadine, after reports of a concern for welfare.

When police arrived, they found a 21-year-old man deceased and a 17-year-old boy unconscious.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the men at the scene, before the teen was taken to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police are investigating whether the 21-year-old man died from a suspected drug overdose.

Officers seized a number of items from the home, which will undergo forensic analysis.

Police have been told the men were involved in a crash about 2.30am the same day (Tuesday 23 October 2018) where a VW Amarok utility crashed into the fence of a house on Kingswood Road, Engadine.

Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command have commenced inquiries into the events leading up to the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
