Police probe after man exposes himself in Newcastle

Police are investigating after a man exposed himself to a teenage girl in the Newcastle area yesterday.

Police have been told about 7.45am today, a 17-year-old girl was walking towards John Street, Tighes Hill, when she saw a new model grey Toyota Prado drive past her several times.

A short time later the girl was waiting at a bus stop near the intersection of John and William Street when she saw a man on the opposite side of the road.


The man then exposed himself to the girl before walking off on John Street headed towards Powell Street.

Police from Newcastle City Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

Officers wish to speak to a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being about 45 to 50-years-old and 180cm tall with a medium build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing dark pants, dark shoes and an orange high visibility vest.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
