Police are investigating after a teenager was stabbed in Sydney’s west tonight, NSW Police say.
Just before 7.50pm yesterday, emergency services responded to reports of a brawl at a unit block on Guildford Road, Guildford.
On arrival, officers located a 16-year-old boy with a head laceration and a stab wound to his stomach.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, where he will undergo surgery.
Officers from Holroyd Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
Initial inquiries suggest the teen was injured following an altercation with a group of males who fled the scene.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stopers.
