Police Probe Alice Springs Structure Fire 13 June

NT Police are investigating a structure fire that occurred overnight in Alice Springs.

Around 9:30pm on Thursday 12 June, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a house on fire on Parke Crescent, The Gap.

Police and Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently being treated as suspicious. The residence is believed to have been empty at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported to police.

A crime scene has been established and detectives from Southern Investigations have carriage of the matter.

It is alleged up to four persons were observed leaving the residence carrying blankets via the front gates prior to emergency service personnel attending the scene.
