Police probe assault and robbery in Fairfield

Police are investigating an assault and robbery in Fairfield this morning, NSW Police say.

About 3am today (Friday 22 December 2017), an 18-year-old man was attacked by four men in a park in Fairfield.

The man was punched in the face and stomped on repeatedly by the men. He was then stripped of his clothing and belongings before the men fled the area.

Police saw the man walking toward Fairfield Police Station and went to assist. He had sustained multiple injuries and was conveyed to Fairfield Hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Police from Fairfield Local Area Command have commenced investigations into the incident and would like to speak to anyone who can assist with inquiries.

One man is described as being of African appearance. At the time of the incident, one man is believed to have been wearing red and white coloured clothing while another man was wearing a black hoodie.
