Police are appealing for information following a break and enter and suspicious fire at a rural property in the state's Central West this week.
About 6am on Tuesday 15 September 2026, emergency services were called to a rural property on Mountain Valley Road, Neurea, about 20 kilometres south of Wellington, following reports of a shed fire.
Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District arrived to find a shed had been completely destroyed by fire.
NSW Rural Fire Service arrived shortly after and extinguished the remaining flames.
No injuries were reported.
Police saw several sheds had been broken into, and that a fence and a padlock on a gate had been cut.
A number of items including two rifles, vehicles and equipment were stolen.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
