Police probe carjacking in Orange

Police are appealing for information following a carjacking in Orange, NSW Police say.

Just after midnight today, a 21-year-old man was sitting in his car on Bathurst Road, when he was approached by three unknown men.

The group threatened the man with a knife before demanding the keys to his vehicle - a white 1994 Holden Commodore sedan - and driving away.

The group were last seen travelling west on Bathurst Road in the vehicle, a white 1994 Holden Commodore sedan, with NSW registration AZ-11-KI.

The man did not suffer any injuries and reported the matter to police.

About 2.30am on the same day today, the vehicle was involved in two police pursuits in Dubbo, however both times police terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns. The car was again involved in a police in Orange at 5.05pm today, which was again terminated due to safety concerns.

Orange Police are investigating and would like to speak to three men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 20 years old, and a thin build. He was wearing a blue jumper, black pants and black beanie.

The second man is also described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, tall and wearing black pants and a black and white jumper.

The third man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his 20s or 30s, about 175cm tall, and with a medium build. He was wearing a black and grey jumper.

Anyone who sights the stolen vehicle should contact police immediately.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident or the woman’s identity to call Crime Stopers.
