Police are investigating after a man was injured in a home invasion in Sydney’s South-West tonight.
About 8.40pm today, two males attended a home on Roberts Way, Claymore, and assaulted a 28-year-old male occupant after he answered the door, NSW Police say.
The man escaped and ran to a neighbour’s home. The two male offenders followed him to the neighbour’s home, forcing entry and assaulting him again before fleeing the scene.
Police attended and located the man with facial injuries. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he is in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established and detectives from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command have commenced an investigation.
Initial investigations suggest the incident may be targeted.
