Police Probe Man's Fatal Fall in Castle Hill

An investigation is underway after a man died in Sydney's north west overnight.

About 2.40am today (Sunday 17 May 2026), emergency services were called to Crane Road, Castle Hill, following reports a man had been heard shouting from the balcony of a unit complex.

NSW Ambulance paramedics located a 44-year-old man suffering serious injuries in a garden outside the unit complex before commencing treatment; however, he died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established, and detectives attached to The Hills Police Area Command and North West Metropolitan Region have commenced an investigation under Strike Force Sunbach.

At this early stage in the investigation, the death is being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
