Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted during a home invasion on the state's South Coast earlier this month.
About 12.50am on Monday 13 October 2025, police were called to a home on Yarralumla Crescent, Tomakin, following reports of a home invasion.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District arrived and were told two unknown men broke into the home and seriously assaulted a 39-year-old man before running from the scene.
The man – who was located unresponsive – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
Police established a crime scene and South Coast detectives commenced Strike Force Finnie to investigate the assault.
Following initial inquiries, strike force detectives are hoping to speak to the driver of a small black coloured vehicle that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
Strike force detectives are also hoping to speak to two men who were seen in the area at the time of the assault.
They were both last seen wearing face coverings and dark clothes.
