Police Probe Targeted Shooting, Man Wounded

Police are investigating an incident where a man sustained a gunshot wound in Southern Tasmania last night, in what is believed to have been a targeted incident between people known to each other.

At this stage in the ongoing investigation, police believe a 29-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound at an address in Chigwell.

The injured man then drove to an address in Bridgewater where he sought assistance. He was subsequently transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The vehicle the man was driving has been seized by police for investigation.

Police investigations are following a specific line of enquiry to locate the people responsible.
